Meet the Stars

It's time to introduce the stars! We are so excited to be able to present this World Class lineup of star swimmers for you!

Adam Peaty

Breaststroke

We struggled a bit to get someone good, so we decided to pull in Adam Peaty to swim a few 50's.

If you are a swimmer and don't know who he is or what he has achieved you need to get from under the rock you have been living in...

He is the World Record Holder for the 50m and 100m Breaststroke. Of course this means plenty of European and British Records, but it seems hardly worth mentioning. He has broken those world records a staggering 10 times and is the Olympic Champion, 5 time World Champion, 12 time European Champion and 3 time Commonwealth Champion. He was nominated the World Swimmer of the Year 2015 and 2018 and a 5 time European swimmer of the year. He goes quicker than most can do freestyle...

He is going to the World Championships this summer and urm... MACCLESFIELD!

Sarah Vasey

Breaststroke

Sarah is the Commonwealth champion for the 50m Breaststroke and is a member of Adam Peaty's ISL team London Roar! She is currently ranked 10th in the world this season (LC) and is going to take some beating!

Luke Greenbank

Backstroke

Luke is a 4 time British Record Holder in the 200m Backstroke. At the World Junior Games in 2015, he broke the World Junior Record for the 200m Backstroke. He has won 4 international medals including a commonwealth silver medal. He also won gold in both the 100m and 200m backstroke in the 2015 European Championships.

Jessica Fullalove

Backstroke

Jess is a Commonwealth Games finalist finishing 7th last year in the 200m Backstroke. This was her second commonwealth games for England. Jess was the 200m Backstroke British Champion this year.

James Guy

Butterfly

Jimmy used to swim at Trafford and so is very familiar with Macclesfield. He has over 10 British Records to his name. Along with European records. He was the last ever swimmer to race Phelps head to head in Rio 2016. He also has over 20 international medals including two Olympic silvers. One of his most notable races ever was the 200m Freestyle in the World Championships, where he beat the reigning Olympic Champion Sun Yang by .06 of a second! Not to mention anchor for the British 4x200m Freestyle team to gold pulling them from 3rd in probably the most exciting British relay of all time. All done whilst swimming the 3rd fastest ever split in a 200m Freestyle relay...EVER... so yes he is pretty quick!

Harriet West

Butterfly

Harriet went to the commonwealth games last year for the Backstroke and Butterfly sprint races. She narrowly missed out on the final for the 50m Butterfly!

Timothy Shuttleworth

Freestyle

Tim went to Rio in 2016 for the 1500m and is a World Bronze medalist for the 5k open water. He is now working towards the 100m and 200m following a year out. He came 8th at the British Championships for the 100m Freestyle and is well on the way to getting much quicker.

Freya Anderson

Freestyle

Freya used to swim in the Macclesfield pool for the Cheshire Champs! Now she has 7 British records, broken her own European Junior Record 3 times and has a European Record and gold medal held with Adam Peaty and James Guy for their mixed relay. She has a further 2 gold European medals and 2 Commonwealth bronze medals.
